Preparation Ensure the multimeter is working and set it to the resistance (Ω) mode. Safety Turn off the power to the circuit. Wear protective gear if necessary. Testing Connect the black probe to the COM terminal and the red probe to the VΩ terminal on the multimeter. Place one probe on the grounding wire and the other on a known ground point. Read the resistance on the multimeter. Interpreting Results Expect a resistance reading around 100 kΩ due to the built-in resistor. If the reading significantly deviates from 100 kΩ, there may be an issue with the grounding connection or the built-in resistor.
